This NEW full day (8 hours of CPD) face to face workshop builds on the knowledge from Lumbar Rehab 1 and focuses in on building your pre-exercise assessment skills for your clients back pain presentations.
This Workshop focuses on how to get a very clear baseline, identify your clients weak points, understand their deficits and determine how these factors are impacting their functional abilities.
This workshop, when brought into application with your clients, should help you develop a clear understanding of
The day will be predominantly practical application and clinical reasoning and will include the assessing spinal mobility, lumbo-pelvic motor control, SIJ and hip stability, and key functional testing.
It will build your knowledge and confidence in back rehab so you can formulate safe & ideal starting points for back rehabilitation programs for a broad range of clinical presentations.
(NB - Lumbar Rehab 1 is recommended prior to attending this course - but not essential
This NEW workshop extends from Lumbar Spine Assessment into Rehab Applications. Learn how to structure your rehab intervention to target your key findings - while respecting the underlying pain and injury presentation the person has presented with.
The goal of this workshop is to expand your exercise tool kit extending from motor control restoration and stabilization sequences, mobility and flexibility restoration, and functional exercise integration to assist in your clients recovery.
It covers a range of schools of thought in back pain rehabilitation from around the world and includes key concepts of their scientific and theoretical background as well as an opportunity to try and practice application through experiential learning in the workshop.
Functional outcome questionnaires and reassessment processes are also integrated into the workshop, to assist you recognize and adapt your rehab program and cross professional integration to alter your outcome trajectory.

This full day workshop focuses on the lumbar spine, covering key physiological elements of a range of back pain presentations, considerations for lumbo-pelvic assessment & exercise selection.
As rehab professionals working in a space that includes back pain problems - whether diagnosed or not, we need to be able to identify key elements of common clinical presentations and understand how to adapt the exercises we are prescribing to the characteristics of the presenting condition.
We also need to clearly understand the importance of exercise sequencing when strengthening the back - while maintaining a stable base.
