And while some exercise is better than none, understanding the pathophysiology of a presentation, piecing together the history of how someone has got to now, knowing where to be a little cautious in your exercise choices, and envisaging what is possible with focused rehab will help you make great rehab decisions.
In the Rehab space, we need to understand what we are dealing with. Whether a recent injury or a stubborn presentation, knowing whether the mechanics are eluding to the possibility of a discal problem, a spinal stenosis or a SIJ dysfunction is pretty important as your exercise approach will have to adapt as what you do for one presentation may well worsen the other.
